The FPS is working on quite few things at the moment, including:

Manual Handling – the immediate focus is on getting agreement on a new policy for FPS members and we’re not far away from achieving this. The campaign is being led by Phil Hines, via the Safety &Training group and we’re eager to create a package of materials including a video.

Occupational Health – The FPS is also working on a positioning paper on Occupational Health, having completed its positioning paper on Caps on Liabilities, which has been forwarded to Build UK asking for their support. More information to follow in due course.

Employment Survey – we’ll be gathering anonymised information from FPS members to understand the demographic of the piling and ground engineering industry. This will help the FPS advise members, government and other industry bodies on subjects such as gender representation in the sector, and the impact of Brexit on the EU workforce.
