The Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) would like to thank Cementation Skanska for organising a site visit to see aspects of the work it is undertaking on the HS2 East Euston Approach, for members of the FPS’s Early Careers Group (ECG).
The site visit, which will take place 18th April 2023, will allow ECG members access to one of the most exciting projects of our generation. Specifically, ECG members will gain an in-depth overview of the project, as well as a talk on the large diameter rotary bored piling works that are being undertaken.
Topics will also include the use of support fluid, carbon reduction techniques and innovation with plant and materials.
The presentation element of the site visit will be followed by a site walk with members of the project team, and the ability for ECG members to ask questions on some of the more technical aspects of the project.
It will be a great opportunity for ECG members, and the FPS is grateful to Cementation Skanska for organising the visit.
