The Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) is pleased to announce that Jon Ball (Roger Bullivant) and David Hard (Bachy) have been appointed – working with BSI, and as part of a wider group – to lead a critical initiative, focused on the national determination of partial factors for piling, spread foundations, and retaining structures.
This initiative represents a unique opportunity for operators and practitioners within the industry to voice their opinions and influence the new codes relevant to the UK before they are officially implemented.
At this pivotal stage in the process, FPS is seeking dedicated members to join and actively contribute to the working groups that will support Jon and David in their roles. These working groups will play a crucial part in providing valuable input to our representatives on the subcommittees. It is anticipated that participation will involve attending 1-2 meetings, with the goal of finalizing contributions by the end of the year.
We invite interested members to register their interest by Friday, 19th July. This is a significant chance to engage with the development of industry standards and ensure that the perspectives of practitioners are well-represented.
