As you may be aware, there is a shortage of assessors to carry out the end point assessments of the piling apprenticeship (EPA).
NOCN Group, the educational charity whose core aim is to help learners reach their potential and organisations thrive, is therefore looking to train a number of these ‘Assessors’, via Teams. It has requested for members of the Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) to nominate colleagues they wish to put forward as a potential assessor and to forward their names, together with their CV.
It is critical that FPS members provide assessors, as it’s the only way that it can ensure that the quality of people qualifying via this route are truly fit for purpose and competent.
NOCN will of course, compensate for the time of any assessor they use is employed by an FPS member, which means there is a financial benefit to training an assessor within your company.
The current dates being looked at for training are: 24th and 25thJanuary 2023 and 2nd February 2023.
In the first instance, please forward the names of people to be trained, together with their CV and preferred training dates, by 5th January, to FPS@fps.org.uk and these will be passed to NOCN .
