A big thank you to those who attended the annual FPS Dinner and Awards, held on Friday 20 October 2017. The evening was a tremendous success with much fun and merriment had by all. Of course, the real highlight of the evening was the awards and it was great to be able to celebrate and express the sector’s recognition for its success and achievements.

The winners of the FPS Awards 2017 were:

Safety Innovation Award (Sponsored by Bauer Technologies)- Expanded Piling – for having solved a difficult industry issue relating to clearing of blocked concrete hoses.

Technology Award (sponsored by Dywidag Systems International)- Cementation Skanska – for its new rig analytics tool that enables decision-makers to act on real-time data.

Early Career Professional Award (sponsored by Bachy Soletanche) – Robert West of Cementation Skanska, with the judges commenting that he had already made an excellent contribution to the profitability and sustainability of the organisation in a very short period of time. The technical tools Robert has developed are a standout contribution to his team.

Early Career Technician Award (sponsored by Cementation Skanska) – Billy Crawley of Central Piling, with the judges commenting on his reputation for being well motivated and an excellent team player.

FPS Chair’s Award (sponsored by BAM Ritchies) was presented to Keith Bolton, of Bachy Soletanche, in
recognition from the FPS to someone who has made a special contribution to the industry.
